Tropical Summer Wreath Dollar Store Craft
This fun tropical summer wreath is made from dollar store materials. It’s a cute addition to your summer home decor that’s a cinch to make!
Once the warmth of late spring arrives, I want to spend most of my time outside enjoying the weather, which means the inside of my house tends to take a backseat. Housework has to wait, new DIY projects have to wait, and laundry has to wait! Let’s face it; it’s a good day if everyone who lives in my house gets dinner. But, just because the inside of my house might look less than perfect doesn’t mean the outside has to! For me, that starts with hanging a seasonal wreath – in the case, a tropical summer wreath!
I’ve loved the look of disc wreaths lately, so, that was the first thing to come to mind when it came time for the most recent My Dollar Store Blog Hop. Not only is this project budget-friendly, but you can complete it in an hour – you’ll be back outside in no time at all!

Summer Wreath How-to:
Bend a pipe cleaner into a U-shape and thread it through the placemat, creating a hook.
Cut out the inside circle of the plates. Glue the plates around the outside edge of the back of the placemat, overlapping the hook. Glue the last plate into the center.
Turn the placemat over. Use the wire cutters to trim the stem from the palm leaves and glue them onto the mat.
Arrange the tropical flowers amongst the leaves and use hot glue to attach to the tropical wreath.
Bend the pipe cleaners to spell the word “hello” attaching pipe cleaners as needed. Use hot glue to attach the phrase to the mat.
Trim the length of the flamingo legs and attach the flamingo to the wreath.
Hang your flamingo summer wreath and enjoy! This tropical summer wreath isn’t going to get that laundry done for you, but I promise it will bring a smile to your face when you arrive home from spending time enjoying the sunshine!
