VIBRANT SPRING/EASTER TABLE DECORATION IDEAS
Last year we went pretty traditional for our Easter table setting with a gorgeous floral chandelier wreath full of color and romantic style. This year we mixed things up with layered prints and patterns grounded by shared royal blue tones for a vibrant, eclectic look.
THE ROOM
We typically have holiday meals in our dining room, but Easter generally is more of a brunch for us – our breakfast area is lovely for that, with all kinds of natural light!
EASTER TABLE DECORATING IDEAS FOR TABLE COVERINGS
Easter table decoration ideas run the gamut when it comes to table coverings. In our home, the table covering can be anything that gives texture and color to the table. Here are some things I’ve used in the past:
- runners
- tablecloths
- placemats
- cloth napkins
- flat sheets
- drapery panels
- pieces of fabric
- wrapping or decorative cardstock paper
- scarves
Today, I’m using a drapery panel, covered in a length of wrapping paper. To add even more color and pattern, I’ve layered three decorative dish towels on top for a unique look.
EASTER TABLE DECORATING IDEAS FOR PLACE SETTINGS
I went with a fun, eclectic mix for the plate stack, using my usual white stoneware dinner plates, atop a blend of gold and DIY polka dot chargers. Bright-colored butterfly salad plates add a bit of contrast between the layers, while boldly patterned appetizer plates finish off the stack.
My favorite royal blue napkins make another appearance threaded through DIY pompom and paracord napkin rings. Look for an upcoming tutorial on how to make those in the next few days!
The juice glasses belonging to my husband’s grandmother add a bit more of a vintage look. I love how they look paired with jelly jars.
Adorable Bunny boxes in varied colors offer each guest a sweet treat and add a bit of whimsy.

EASTER TABLE DECORATING IDEAS FOR CENTERPIECES
Rather than a single centerpiece, I like to vary the center of my tables with pieces of varied height.
Fresh Rinoculous mixed with a grocery store bouquet offers blooms in many bold colors and shapes. This birdhouse was a thrift store find and makes an appearance in the Spring! Luckily, it opens from the bottom, perfect for inserting a plant or other greenery.
That’s all there is to it! I can’t wait for Easter and the feeling of a new beginning that comes along with it. Mostly, I look forward to spending time with and making memories with my family. I know these Easter table decoration ideas will be a part of that for us – I hope they will be for you, too!
