Patriotic Table and Mini-Party
Happy Monday, friends! Although it’s officially a week away, I got the bug this weekend to throw together a patriotic table and mini-party for the July 4 holiday! Â Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays and a great reminder of how lucky I am to live in this country. There is nothing I love more than laying out on a picnic blanket, surrounded by my family and a throng of friends, gazing up at the fireworks, all of us united by our feelings of patriotism. The lights, the sounds, the songs.. gets me every time!

The Target dollar bins had a plethora of items just perfect for my table, including the red and white striped paper lanterns and these beyond-fun bandanas that I used for everything except for around my head.
The table setting starts with plain-old Dixie (not so much plain!) brand plates that I picked up in the paper goods aisle, and the napkins have a fun reversible pattern. The runner you may remember from my dining room during the One Room Challenge! I love how versatile it is, and I use it constantly to give just a bit of texture.
These fun milk-jug glasses come with a straw and are another great find from the Target dollar bins. If I had a dollar for every time every dollar, I’ve spent in that aisle; I’d be rich instead of Target poor!
These ice cream sandwiches received a little make-over!
We enjoyed our little pre-celebratory party, but we can’t wait to celebrate bigger on the big 4th of July! How about you? What are you doing this holiday weekend? And Happy Canada Day to my Canadian loves – I’ll be thinking of you on the 1st!
In the meantime, if you’re looking for more red, white and blue fun, check these out!
- Red, White and Blue Sangria
- Patriotic Swag Wreath
- Vintage 4th of July Porch
- Red, White and Blue Triffle
Thanks so much for stopping by! Xoxo, Kim
