Recently, I was thinking of how much I love well-done furniture upcycles. Then, I came across this quote: "When a passion for repurposing is focused on furniture, the opportunities are limitless".
It's true; If you are passionate about what you're doing, you really can't go wrong. To me, that makes furniture upcycles perfect projects for us crafters returning to the fold. Not only is reimagining old pieces fun, but it's fail-proof!
Furniture upcycling is both economical and eco-friendly.
In addition, it allows you to be bold, turning ho-hum pieces into enviable upscale pieces with minimal effort.
For example, adding a coat of paint, in any color, to a thrift-store dresser provides an instant transformation.
Likewise, changing out the top of a dilapidated plant stand yields a favorite seasonal piece. One, you'll look forward to pulling out as the weather warms up.
Similarly, consider giving an inexpensive build-from-a-box bookshelf an entirely new purpose as a floating console table.
To sum up, let's be bold! Be brave! Let's take on something new and exciting!
