DIY Magazine Page Starburst Mirror – Flashback Friday!
Many, many moons ago.. aka: a few years ago.. when I started down this blogging road, I created a mirror, out of rolled up magazine pages, hot glue, beads and gold spray paint.
It was the first thing I’ve created that I shared with you, the first real post I ever wrote – the one about having immediate writers block doesn’t really count – and I was so proud of it. I had created the mirror for my daughter’s bedroom – she so wanted a sunburst mirror. She still has it hanging today. I think maybe five of you saw it, all of whom I’m probably related to. Thank you for loving me that much!
Fast forward to now. Once again, I’m re-decorating my daughter’s bedroom – decor around here has a short life span as we move through the tween years! A few more of you are reading and following along – I appreciate you all just as much as I did those five readers – and more than a few of you have asked me about this mirror that I had created all that time ago. Luckily for me, when I made it, I had put together a tutorial.
It seemed like a good time for a flashback!
Thank you for asking me about it.. it was so fun to go back and look at where I came from. It was especially fun because I realized the picture of the mirror is actually upside down on the original post… most excellent! But really, a walk down memory lane made me really appreciate the growth this blog, and I, have seen since then. That mirror and sharing with all of you.. that’s why I started this blog in the first place. You are the best readers a girl could ask for!
