Being that my blog is such a baby (1 year next month!), I’m still playing around with the format and content scheduling. As with anything, the beginning of the year is a good time to take stock of what is working for you and what isn’t. One of the things that I liked doing last year was Monday Madness posts. I’m bringing them back, with a quick January recap!
January was a very busy month around here. Sometimes I get so caught up in what I’m doing (or not doing) that I don’t really realize that time is just flying by – I’m missing the details. To remind myself of all that I did will I was supposed to be doing other things accomplished this month, and to catch you up in case you might have missed something, let’s take a walk down memory lane!
Like most of you, I started off the year with a lofty list of crafty resolutions, and included a glimpse in to our New Year’s celebration. As an update, the year is young and I’m still working at checking those resolutions off my list!
Right around then, or so it seemed, the Polar Vortex hit – for the first time – and soup was called for. Fantastically, yummy and super simple, Black Bean Soup.
I sewed up a cute storage solution for our many toy sets and came up with a gazillion ideas for other uses for these peek-a-boo drawstring bags.
This winter yarn ball wreath has graced my door for the month of January, giving me reason to wonder – is there such a thing as too many balls – and is it really okay to say balls 27 times in one post?
January is my least favorite month, and I crave comfort in all sorts of places – clearly, one of those places is in soup. Another yummy soup recipe came later – Baked Potato with all the fixings!
We talked a little bit about my plans for our Master Bedroom makeover. Let’s hope it doesn’t take the entire year to get through my to-do list!
As the second Polar Vortex made it’s way across the country, I clung to the idea that Spring isn’t really that far away by adding these cute butterfly wing coasters. It’s amazing what a simple tweak will do.
Wow – last month I was lucky to just be able to starta project, this month it’s the opposite.. I started so many, and there is more to share! However, I’m striving for a happy medium in February – maybe a little less doing and a whole lot sharing. Please say you’ll stay tuned and thanks so much for taking the time to follow along!
