I’m very excited because this week I had time to make not one of the recipes but two, with plans to make the third this week!
The Asian Chicken Soft Taco reminded me of my favorite, but much less healthy, dish at Applebees – the WonTon Chicken Tacos, and couldn’t have been more simple to prepare by including the Asian Chopped Salad pack! I love the chopped salad pack to begin with and had never thought to use it in a taco.
The wonton strips give the same flavor and crunch as the Applebees version but with less than half the calories of the fried “wonton” taco shell! My husband loved these as much as I did. I used the included salad pack citrus dressing instead of the recommended Newman’s Own Sesame Dressing and corn tortillas instead of flour, because that is what I had in the house. These will become a regular in our rotation, without a doubt.
The Ice Cream Sandwiches were also a huge hit, which wasn’t much of a surprise. Ice cream + butterfingers + sugar cookies = love. I couldn’t believe that the bakery in my local grocery store who I won’t name – okay, Food Lion – didn’t have any sugar cookies. Alas, I had to bake my own, with the help of Pilsbury – if that’s really baking my own. Putting them together was a snap!
I’m super excited to try the mango smoothie this week! Thank you to both Living on Cloud Nine and 4 Sons 4 Us for their wonderful recipes and I hope you’ll stop by their blogs to take a look at all they have to offer!
Now, it’s your turn to share!
