I trust that you all had a wonderful Christmas! We certainly did, with only a few shenanigans – such as Ayden feeding his Uncle’s salt-water fish an entire container of goldfish food on Christmas Day, and my having a little breakdown for the second year in a row over my grown children being.. well.. grown, and having lives of their own. If I think about that too long I might just cry again! It was also a tough year for missing my family. My mom has been gone for 10-years now. Most years it’s just a mild sadness with many good memories. This year was tough – no idea why – it was just tough. I was also missing my sister who is not gone, and who I’m just itching to spend Christmas with one of these days! All in all, despite all of that, it ended up being a really wonderful time, despite a few hiccups.. I’m unimaginably blessed. I have fantastic friends who always make time for me, kids who I love without measure, and a husband who often does things for me that remind me of every single reason why I married him, all at once. Having tons of cookies, pies, and candy around did NOT hurt. I hope your time was as wonderful!
